A feminist U.S. foreign policy advances security in the true meaning of the word
Pushkar M. Sharma is a 2020 Fellow at the New Leaders Council where his work focuses on advancing a renewed commitment to the global rights-based order. Pushkar served as the Special Assistant to the Special Representative of the Secretary-General at the U.N. Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo and led the Gaza office for the U.N. Access Coordination Unit from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that Pushkar worked with U.N. agencies in Colombia, Myanmar, Jordan and Iraq.
Pushkar’s work has been featured by a variety of publications including the International Peace Institute, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Asian American Literary Review.
Pushkar holds a M.P.A. in International Conflict Resolution and Human Rights from Columbia University where he was a Fellow at the Center for International Conflict Resolution. He holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
