Sky Berry-Weiss is a researcher at the Center for International Policy where he works with the Foreign Influence Transparency Initiative to look at how foreign governments influence U.S. policy through lobbying mechanisms. Originally from Hawai’i, he has worked in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate representing his home state as well as California’s 12th congressional district. Sky is a soon-to-be graduate of the University of San Francisco where he studies a combination of global politics, international law, and European affairs. Working with scholars in the field of international conflict and resolution in Northern Ireland, he helped produce research on the role of international law in armed conflicts involving non-state actors. His other research interests include international treaty & customary law, foreign & private influence on public elections, and international comparative law.
