The US must stop supporting ‘forever presidents’ in Africa
Philip Oke-Thomas is a second-year graduate student at American University’s School of International Service. Philip is pursuing a master’s in Global Governance, Politics, and Security. His research focus cover institution building, democratization, and economic development in Northern and sub-Saharan Africa. Philip intends to use his research and policy development skills to effectively communicate Africa’s global position within the 21st-century. Currently, Philip is a research intern at the Center for International Policy’s Africa Program. As a former intern at the Department of State, Philip focused on African public affairs and public diplomacy.
