Dirk Moses

A. Dirk Moses is the Frank Porter Graham Distinguished Professor of Global Human Rights History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, he taught at the University of Sydney, Australia, and the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. His most recent publication is _The Problems of Genocide: Permanent Security and the Language of Transgression_ (Cambridge 2021). His current book project examines how popularized stories of national trauma and civilizational decline catastrophize politics, including international relations.
