Esper hits a nerve by clinging to old security priorities in unprecedented times
Caroline Dorminey is the Policy Director at Women’s Action for New Directions (WAND), where she works closely with policymakers on a portfolio of nuclear policy, arms trade, and defense budget issues. She recently co-edited America’s Nuclear Crossroads, a forward-looking anthology on emerging issues in nuclear policy. Her analysis has also been published in the Wall Street Journal, Axios, War on the Rocks, Reuters, The Hill, and more. Caroline is an expert with the Forum on the Arms Trade and contributor to the Pentagon Budget Campaign. Before joining WAND, she spent two years at the Cato Institute as a Policy Analyst. She holds a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s in Peace, War, and Defense from UNC Chapel Hill.
